MASTER DRAWING STUDY WORKSHOP, Sept. 23 - October 21, 6-9 pm, Wednesdays.
Alley Cat Bookshop at 24th and Treat Ave. $120 for all six classes, with $20 discount if you pay in full at the first class. Drop-ins are also ok, $20/class. All levels welcome. Please bring your own materials.

This session has been focused on a variety of rendering techniques:

Hatching

Stippling

Scumbling

Shading

with various textures and surfaces: glass, metal, white china, plastic, wood, fabric

The final project for this session will be a sustained drawing, theme chosen by the group or individually. Artists will work on developing an idea  and composition through sketches, enlarging and reinterpreting the sketches, then finishing the drawing(s) with a variety of rendering techniques.

Time: 6 - 9pm, Wednesdays, March 25th through April 29th.

Bring a sketch pad or book of any size, various pencils, and kneaded eraser.

Workshop emphasizes hand/eye coordination and developing observation skills with some emphasis week to week on light and shade, line weights, tools, composition, perspective and proportion.

Participants will draw from still life objects, organic materials, figures, and furniture.
